The Patriots quarterback has offered to let Brown move in with him and his family while he gets settled in with the Patriots, Brown’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus told NBC Sports’ Al Michaels on Sunday.

Michaels added:

It’s safe to say Brady wants to make sure Brown’s transition goes as smoothly as possible, as off-field issues were a driving force in the wide receiver’s departure from his last two teams.

Brown clashed with the Steelers coaching staff and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, leading the team to send him to the Raiders in exchange for two draft picks this offseason. But, he never played for Oakland.

The Raiders fined Brown for missing mandatory practice time and a walkthrough, as well as a reported altercation with general manager Mike Mayock, before letting the wide receiver go this weekend.

Brown then signed with New England hours later.

Now, he’ll join a Patriots team that’s known for their tight-knit system and low tolerance for distractions. Brady is the face of the franchise and building a strong relationship with Brown could be key to New England’s chances at defending its title.

Brown will be eligible to make his debut with the Patriots in Week 2 against the Dolphins.
